From the perspective of a shoe designer, our company was introduced.

In the esteemed Nikkei MJ, an interview article with Noriko Onozaki, President of Axsto Co., Ltd., was featured on page 8 under the “Design” section, focusing not on the product but on design.

“KIMONO SHOES,” which adorn the feet with vivid traditional Japanese patterns, have attracted enthusiastic attention from foreigners, who describe them as “cool.” The designer behind these shoes is Noriko Onozaki, president of AXT Inc. a company specializing in the manufacturing and sales of women’s footwear, located in Taito, Tokyo.

While continuing the family business, Noriko noticed that many women, including herself, suffer from troubles related to their feet. This led her to open the shoe salon “Andsteady,” where the focus is on reassessing the feet before providing shoes.

She has established a unique system that involves detailed measurement of customers’ feet and improvement of walking habits, enabling the creation of custom-made shoes. Through a dual approach of “foot development” and “shoe making,” the goal is to fundamentally resolve foot-related issues.

We are grateful that not only our Kimono Sneakers but also our custom-made shoe salon, Andsteady, have been featured.

The design and last for the Kimono Sneakers were developed based on the feet of 8,000 customers from And Steady. Without Andsteady, this product would not have come to life.
