HeWhoMe Manufacturing Process
Stylish, durable and comfortable shoes are an essential part of any wardrobe, but despite the wide range of shoes available, it can be difficult to find a pair that will keep your feet looking beautiful and healthy.
Now, for the discerning shoe lover, we offer custom-made shoes handcrafted from kimono and obi fabrics. These one-of-a-kind creations provide optimal comfort and support, helping to promote better health.
Kimono are high-quality traditional garments decorated with beautiful Japanese flowers and birds, and they have a special allure that is unique and perfectly combines style and sophistication.
Additionally, Japanese kimonos and obi belts are made from pure silk and their beautiful designs make each one special. HeWhoMe sneakers are infused with this same commitment to high quality.
HeWhoMe is committed to delivering the highest quality products by adhering to rigorous material sourcing, design and production processes.
HeWhoMe Manufacturing Process
The first step in the preparation of the shoe is to create a wooden shoe tree that fits the shape of the foot. Then, a pattern for mass production is added. Each shoe is made up of 108 individual parts, which are sewn together using a sewing machine. The shape of the shoe is carefully hammered into the ideal 2D and 3D shape.
And these processes start with cutting and shaping.
The craftsmen carefully study the beautiful patterns on the luxurious fabric and skillfully cut it while removing any scratches or fraying. For custom-made products, each pair is cut by hand using a knife. For mass-produced products, the shoes are also dyed.
The next step is sewing and stitching the upper, called "Seiko", where the leather and materials are perfectly tailored to create a comfortable upper, meticulous design and durable shoes.
The two-dimensional upper is then molded into a three-dimensional shape and the leather is glued to the sole.
Custom shoes are handcrafted by craftsmen one pair at a time. The upper is pressed into a wooden shoe tree, and the perforations that are made at this stage are a sign of high-quality shoes. The upper is then stretched with a tool called a "crocodile" and hammered to make the material conform to the wooden shoe tree, creating a three-dimensional shape.
Once these steps are complete and the shape is set, the sole is attached, which is then pressed, glued and hammered into place before being fixed in place with a clamping machine.
HeWhoMe takes traditional Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary design elements and brings them to life in modern products. These custom shoes connect time-honored techniques to the next generation, redefining fashion and trends for the 21st century.
HeWhoMe Kimono Sneakers are on trend, combining comfort and style to enrich the lives of all.
